Vitalant’s donation centers and blood drives have a refreshment area, also called a canteen. Volunteers manage the area, monitoring donor safety by making sure each donor stays for 15 minutes and enjoys a snack and drink to help replace lost fluids. From sports to the arts, volunteerism to academic pursuits; The CLUB offers teen resources and programs to create meaningful experiences today as they prepare a plan for the future. We are on a mission to provide college and career resources, such as scholarships, mentorship and job networking for Club alumni.
Every Wednesday we distribute fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat, and much more to those in need in our community. We are in need of volunteers to help pick-up the food, set-up for distribution, shop with clients, and clean up after we are done.
The Museum Annex is open weather permitting. Annex volunteers answer visitor questions and guide them through the equipment in the collection. Gradual learning about the locomotives and railroad cars on exhibit by reading the Museum Equipment Guide is expected. Volunteers who pass the museum’s safety test give handcar rides.
