| Ways to help | Sewing VolunteersThese volunteers are needed during the spring to help alter and/or create costumes for the Spring Concert. They usually work on projects while their child is in class or they take projects home to complete. Most of these projects involve minor hand sewing.NBT Information BoothNBT is sometimes asked to have a presence at various events. The booth/table would have marketing materials relating to our subscriptions and/or upcoming performances and information on what the Academy offers. You would receive training prior to these events so you would be able to handle questions if NBT staff is not present.Program Distribution/Insights VolunteerA minimum of one volunteer will be placed in each of the lobbies of Reynolds Hall (2). As they distribute programs, these volunteers will be reminding patrons of the educational program Insights that takes place in Troesh Studio inside Boman Pavilion 45 minutes before the start of each performance.Nutcracker VolunteersParents of Academy students help NBT with the Children's Cast as Check In/Check Out Table Volunteers, Runners, Backstage Child Wranglers, Room Monitors, Drop Off/Pick Up Attendants, Hair/Make Up Volunteers, and Wardrobe Volunteer.Hallway MonitorsThese volunteers give of their time while their child is in class by sitting in the hallway during classes. Their job is to ensure students' safety, monitor students' behavior, and remind parents and visitors of the hallway procedures.Telephone SolicitationDuring out Subscription Campaign, volunteers assist with our telemarketing campaign by making phone calls to former or current subscribers to assist them in renewing subscriptions. A friendly phone call manner and sales experience is most welcome.Office AssistanceVarious departments may need office help from time to time. Duties would involve typing, filing, preparing mailings, prepare presentations, internet research, etc. Some project require computer literacy and it would by helpful if you were familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as the internet.Painting and Construction VolunteersThese volunteers are needed to help paint and construct sets for the Spring Concert. They usually work on projects while their child is in class.VIP/Media Ticket Table RepresentativeWe typically have VIP's and members of the media who need to collect their tickets for that performance. Your role would be to distribute the tickets to the appropriate party. During intermission and after the conclusion of the performance, you may be asked to distribute audience survey forms and ask for feedback from patrons on their experience.Marketing Information Table RepresentativeYou will be at the NBT Information Table before the performance. You will be assisting patrons to sign up for a giveaway and distribution of materials on upcoming performances or events. There is typically a staff member either at the table or nearby in case there is a question that you cannot answer. |

| How you help | Back in 1972, Nevada Ballet Theatre started out with a corps of local professional dancers who volunteered their time and talent to promote ballet in Las Vegas. Over 40 years later, we continue to grow because of the talents and personal sacrifices of our volunteers. |

| About us | With a solid focus on dance education, a versatile Company of professional dancers and a growing repertoire, NBT stands as one of the oldest performing arts organizations in the state and is at the heart of Las Vegas’ cultural landscape. In 1980, the Company expanded its community reach by sharing the art form of dance with students in underserved populations within Clark County. In 1993, it established Future Dance in order to provide free in-school dance instruction and scholarship opportunities to students in need. With all of its Education and Outreach initiatives combined, NBT successfully reaches over 20,000 students a year through these life-changing programs. |
