| Our mission | Feeding Pets of the Homeless believes in the healing power of companion pets and of the human/animal bond which is very important in the lives of many homeless. Our task, nationwide, is to feed and provide basic emergency veterinary care to their pets and thus relieve the anguish and anxiety of the homeless who cannot provide for their pets. |

| Ways to help | Vet Care VolunteerHospitals and clinics are welcome to join our network so that we know whom to call when we have a case in your community. In addition, we are looking for volunteer veterinarians and tech assistants to go to places where the homeless congregate and administer veterinary care to pets of the homeless.Office VolunteerWe can always use office assistance, if you live near our headquarter offices, in Carson City, Nevada.Volunteer/RecruiterWe can sure use your help in recruiting pet food donation sites in your community. Commit to finding 2 new pet food donation sites in your town (businesses) or to finding 2 new pet food provider sites in your town (Food banks, soup kitchens, church pantries, homeless shelters). Places to recruit are places that you might already have a relationship with the owner or manager.Fundraising/Food DriveHost a pet food drive at your school, church or business and donate the proceeds to one of Pets of the Homeless Pet Food Providers or begin a crowdfunding campaign. |

How? Our volunteers collection sites receive donated pet food and deliver it to food banks and/or soups kitchens which have agreed to distribute the food to the homeless and impoverished. |
