| Ways to help | Office Team MemberOffice Team Members are responsible for assisting with any administrative tasks in the office, maintaining an organized office space, supporting other Leads & Managers as requested, obtaining donated goods, planning & assembling gifts for volunteers, clients, and organizational events. Team members are required to attend monthly team meetings and volunteer five hours per month. In office requirements vary.Networking Team MemberNetworking Team Members are responsible for assisting with connecting to the Partner Engagement team and potential Partners, Volunteers, Professionals, Corporate Sponsors and more. Team members are required to attend monthly team meetings and volunteer five hours per month. In office requirements vary.Hospitality Team MemberHospitality Team members are responsible for baking our signature vegan cupcakes for all Partner appreciation, Client, Donor, and Volunteer needs. Team members assist with planning and preparing catering meals, as well as cupcakes, for events throughout the year. Team members are required to attend monthly team meetings, attend monthly baking sessions, and volunteer five hours per month. In office requirements vary.Social Media Team MemberThe Social Media team members will report directly to the Social Media Lead and the Social Media + Marketing Manager and will assist with the planning, creation, growth, and engagement of all social media accounts for The Cupcake Girls including: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. | About us | Why is an organization that specializes in supporting sex workers, and connecting them to community resources, named after a baked good? Our name grew its roots when we began visiting clubs in Las Vegas toting a box of pink cupcakes. These pastries were an icebreaker and conversation starter when offered to entertainers. After being repeatedly referenced as “The Cupcake Girls” during a club visit, we adopted it as our organization’s formal name.Cupcakes continue to be a symbol for our organization, and they consistently have a presence during club and brothel visits, adult industry events, as well as at each of our fundraisers. |
