Nevada Volunteers has created a no-cost platform that nonprofits and Nevada residents looking to volunteer as a nonprofit board member can begin using now.
Nevada Volunteers has added a board matching event and open house in Las Vegas on Oct. 13 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. The hybrid event – in person for those comfortable, virtual for those who prefer that method – is speed-dating style where nonprofit leaders will get to meet candidates interested in learning more about joining a board.
Interested in learning more about Board Connect and Board Matching events? Select “I’m Interested” and feel free to stop by to see for yourself and to learn more about it. This event is open to the public.
Registering before the event is required for nonprofits wanting to participate in the speed dating style matching, but encouraged for nonprofits who want to stop by to check out the event. Candidates who are interested in getting matched and meeting nonprofits can register for the event right on the website once they have created their accounts and fill out the information needed for the matching process. Candidates are also welcome to stop by to learn more about board service and the Nevada Volunteers website.
Participants will get a chance to meet Zanny Marsh, Executive Director of Nevada Volunteers and Craig Young, founder of Inspiring Service.
Nevada Volunteers and its partner Inspiring Service has created an online tool and hybrid event to help area nonprofits find board members in the community.
