We are always looking for volunteers to lead activities or help with homework at both of our youth centers.
•Welcome and check-in donors •Explain the donation process and answer any questions •Manage donor flow •Provide courteous communication and assistance to donors and staff •Assist with set up and help maintain cleanliness in Reception and Canteen/Hospitality areas •Report possible adverse post-donation, physical reactions to staff
Work with a partner to meet with wish kids and their families to start them on their wish discovery journey and then continue being that constant connection to Make-A-Wish during this magical process.
Assist with various projects at our chapter offices, including phone calls, mailings and research.
Vitalant’s donation centers and blood drives have a refreshment area, also called a canteen. Volunteers manage the area, monitoring donor safety by making sure each donor stays for 15 minutes and enjoys a snack and drink to help replace lost fluids. Most importantly, volunteers make our donors feel appreciated by thanking them for transforming patients’…
Some of our locations use volunteer drivers to pick up and deliver blood products.
This team is in charge of recruiting students to attend the program by working with high school counselors, the legion, and other sources during the offseason. New staff members are hirely recommended to volunteer for this team.
