We work to record the services provided and obtained at our Connect events to better inform our coordination of community service. The data-basing volunteer will be tasked with accurately transferring recorded services and event attendance into our local database.

Food For Thought relies on the selfless efforts of its many volunteers to make our program successful and help the chronically hungry children in our local area.

Anyone, 18 years old or older, who cares about the homeless population in South Lake Tahoe can volunteer at the Warm Room. Each volunteer is committed to making the Warm Room a place for our fellow community members to find sanctuary from the elements. Help distribute food on Wednesdays 9 am – noon or Saturdays 8 am – 11 am.

Join us Mondays and Thursdays 8:30 am – 11 am and help pick up and unpack food to prepare it for distribution.

Sign up to cook a large meal, side dish, dessert, or beverage with your friends and family and serve it with us at the Community Assistance Center (CAC). RISE and Dine happens every Saturday (except the second Saturday of each month).

There are several committees that you can join and lend your talent and services to help us achieve our mission of empowering women by giving collectively in a way that positively transforms our community. Committees include: Grant Review, Membership Recruitment, PR/Communications, or take your position to the next level as a Board Member.

Help to pack boxed lunches for kids in our kitchen. These meals are served to thousands of kids each day during their after school program.

Help to bag fresh produce for food insecure families and seniors.
