Ways to help

Bingo Volunteer

Bingo occurs on the 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month. We need kitchen help and in the dinning room.

Christmas Volunteers

Volunteer to help with the Christmas raffle/craft fair, to serve food and drinks at the Christmas Lunch, and to prepare Christmas bags for home bound seniors.

Donation Collection Volunteer

Volunteers must have computer knowledge or willing to call on phone or go into store's with a letter seeking a donation.

Special Events

YAH host multiple special events throughout the year. For each of these, we usually have a need for volunteers to assist with setup and cleanup. We also have an information table set up at events that needs to be staffed. And a variety of odd-jobs that sometimes takes less than an hour to complete, but nevertheless are important things to be accomplished.

About usYoung at Heart is a 501(c)3 non profit that supports the Douglas County Senior Center's mission to empower and preserve the independence of Seniors. All funds raised benefit Douglas County Senior programs and projects, prioritized, and approved by the YAH Board of Trustees.
