About us | Since very early on, railroads have played a major part in the development of Truckee. America's first transcontinental railroad established an important train yard in downtown Truckee. The Truckee Donner Railroad Society works to perpetuate the knowledge of working railroads in our area and operates the Truckee Railroad Museum in downtown Truckee and the Truckee River Railroad in the Truckee River Regional Park. |
