How you helpThe RISE and Dine project is a truly special do-it-yourself experience that allows you to connect with people and families in need. By volunteering or donating, YOU are bringing warmth and comfort to the men, women, and children who go to bed hungry in Reno.
About usRISE is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization providing equal access to shelter, knowledge, and opportunity through the use of shared resources and mutual aid. Our main project, RISE and Dine, is community-run potluck project that started in January of 2012. The idea is simple: gather with friends, family, and neighbors to make a home-cooked meal and serve it directly to locals in need. While cooking and serving food, RISE also distributes comfort items such as clothes, toiletries, blankets, and toys!
