Ways to help | Highway CleanupIn February 2013 the Rotary 25 Club of the Las Vegas Rotary Club renewed a contract with the Nevada Department of Transportation to clean up litter for 2 miles of SR195 Highway at mile marker 04.0 East Bound to the 06.0 marker. Our 25 Club meets at the Bonnie Springs entrance four times each year to clean litter from this stretch of High Way.Opportunity VillageFor a number of years, a group of about 25 Rotarians volunteer in the Magical Forest one evening early in December. Volunteers spend around four and a half hours at the event commitment during which they help load and unload trains, run the merry-go-round, sell drinks and treats, take tickets and act as crossing guards. This is a major event for Opportunity Village and requires about 100 volunteers every evening. Opportunity Village is a sheltered workshop for individuals with intellectual challenges and a recognized center of excellence. |

How you help | The Las Vegas Rotary Club established our own Foundation in 1998 with the purpose of building an endowment to support local service projects. Over the years our endowment continues to grow through the generosity of our members as well as people and organizations that support our annual fund raising efforts. Income generated from the endowment fund is used annually to support grants and other service activities that benefit the Las Vegas community. |
