Our boardIn an effort to provide a support network for those needing assistance in Henderson, HopeLink was founded in 1991 by the late Barbara Gomez and Pamela Erickson. Providing expert case management, a complete base of referrals and in-house funding of assistance for clients in verified crisis, we provide turnkey assistance and services to the unreached and underserved including free classes in parenting, financial guidance, GED/HSE prep, nutrition and practical life skills to help move people out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. The current board consists of 11 members. In addition, there are 3 advisory board members and five honorary board members, including the late Barbara Gomez.

RequirementsLife below the poverty line is a ‘normal’ existence for many families and seniors. These individuals may face unexpected life crises, unemployment or income instability, that bring them to the brink of hunger or homelessness. For decades, we’ve worked to change the ‘normal’ for thousands of individuals in our community each year. Our board makes an investment in time and other resources to allow HopeLink to house and provide stabilizing resources to Southern Nevada residents while teaching them the skills that can keep them out of homelessness.
On-boardingExecutive Director Stacey Lockhart and her executive team provide an orientation and onboarding to welcome new board members
