We’re always looking for people eager to positively impact a child and improve the community at the same time. You might think you don’t have what it takes to be a mentor or role model, but what our Littles need is just time to have fun with a friend – time to be a kid.

Provide literature to the public on FAWG, adoption and spay/neuter programs.

Assist with setting up kennels, caring for animals and talking to prospective adopters.

Help to bag fresh produce for food insecure families and seniors.

Volunteers conduct research on the California Trail and its impact to Nevada and U.S. history. An example: Volunteers research emigrant journals and diaries along with other first hand accounts of the pioneer experience.

Volunteer staff serve as front line representatives of the Trail Center. Welcoming visitors and providing basic information is a vital part of Trail Center operations. Information desk volunteers have the opportunity to meet and assist visitors from around the world.
