There are many corporate and community outreach volunteer opportunities available or you may have some ideas of your own! Many groups choose to sponsor an event for our children or to provide volunteers for a service project.
Our thrift store is open seven days a week. We rely on volunteers to help create the best shopping experience for our customers. Opportunities are available daily, weekly or monthly.
Perhaps one of the busiest areas on our campus, the mailroom, receives close to 40 large bins of mail every day and with only one part time employee sorting, we could really use additional help.
With 40 acres, 20 buildings and only two maintenance workers, we need help with the simple stuff like changing air filters, repairing sprinklers and other similar ‘to-do’ items you would normally do on the weekend in your own home.
Our Sibling Preservation Program is in need of event support and camper volunteers.
We can always use guest speakers and musical/drama performances for the program clients and guests. Pastors, lay leaders and others in ministry are encouraged to share their faith and passion during our morning chapel services. Youth groups and choirs are also welcome to minister to our clients. Throughout the year we conduct numerous special events designed to bring services to those we serve or attention to their plight. Some of those events include: Walk a Mile in My Shoes, Christmas in July, Street Treats, and Random Acts of Kindness.
If you have a trade such as electronics, furniture repair, appliance repair, etc., we could use your expertise to repair items while training a client in the basics. This is perfect for retirees and the self-employed who want to help others! We also have special projects for youth, college and church groups!
