We need volunteer experts to help us with special learning initiatives. We can not fill all the expertise we need within our small staff so we welcome experts in our community to share their knowledge with children and make the museum a strong learning experience.

Be a teen buddy for a special needs child, or help us make exhibits. This board does it all. This committee is open to high school students who want to gain service learning credits and leadership experience and complete comprehensive impactful service for the families in our community.

We need someone who loves to garden and create learning areas in our garden for children such as composting, a bee and butterfly flower bed and all sort of fun learning opportunities. We need someone (or two folks) all summer long and you can create your own schedule.

Exhibits Committee volunteers are grandparents, parents and community members who create and build custom exhibits unique to KidZone Museum. The hand crafted exhibits are filled with play that helps a child’s social, physical, cognitive and creative development.

Volunteer activities range from running our front desk for processing and qualifying new clients, to envelope stuffing, clerical tasks and warehouse management.

Are you able to help us with one of the following or know someone who can? We’d love to hear from you: repairs & maintenance (electrical, plumbing, etc.), grant writing, fundraising, PR/marketing/advertising, printing, photography, entertainment services (balloons, floral arrangements, DJ, event production, etc.), personal services (massage, beauty, salon/spa).

Greets visitors, answers the telephone, filing, assembling mass mailings and event materials, organizing storage areas, takes inventory of supplies, running errands etc. Microsoft Office proficient preferred.

We’re looking for Lunch Program Assistants to oversee our Lunch making groups. Family Room hosts will provide a welcoming face to families using the room. Duties will include checking families in, giving tours of the room, performing simple administrative tasks, light housekeeping and keeping the kitchenette stocked. The Ronald McDonald Family Room® is open 9:00am-9:00pm, with three, 4 hour shifts per day.

Each week day, 148 healthy sack lunches are prepared to be delivered to nearby hospitals and medical facilities. We are in need of lunch delivery drivers who would drive RMHC’s refrigerated van to these facilities and delivery the lunches to children’s bedsides and to nurses to distribute.
