NBT is sometimes asked to have a presence at various events. The booth/table would have marketing materials relating to our subscriptions and/or upcoming performances and information on what the Academy offers. You would receive training prior to these events so you would be able to handle questions if NBT staff is not present.
We need help all the time. Sometimes with staffing information booths and distributing information on domestic violence for SafeNest at community fairs and events. Check out what opportunities are coming up that you can volunteer for.
Shelter Advocates provide direct support and assistance to hotline callers and shelter residents. Duties include answering crisis calls, safety planning, screening callers for shelter and making appropriate referrals.
Help with gardening and planting projects around the conference center.
Help with various office projects
Help with plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting projects.
Assist in our Bear Store.
Volunteers must be 18 or older to handle dogs. Volunteer training orientation is required for all of our dog walkers.
We have many different projects going on. Let us know what you like to do and we’ll have a project for you! Some of our on-going projects include cleaning, organizing, landscaping, painting, sorting, marketing, PR, community events, and fundraising. Come on out and get dirty with us!
