The California Trail Center seeks volunteers to demonstrate traditional Great Basin Indian lifeways, both indoors and outdoors. Examples include Indian beadwork, traditional Native foods, and basket making.

The education program at the Trail Center is wide and varied. Some volunteer educators teach students about pioneers and the California Trail. Others utilize our 40 acre site to focus on outdoor environmental education programs, and teach students about Great Basin biology and geology.

The Trail Center also seeks volunteers to share their unique pioneer or mountain man skill. Just a few examples include: Operating a spinning wheel, performing traditional music in the pioneer camp, or cooking fresh biscuits over a campfire. Foster animals from our shelter until they are ready for adoption.

We recruit professionals from the Military, Police and Fire departments, as career choice physical training Instructors. As well as mentors to help physically teach career type leadership development to the students.

We need volunteers to assist our elderly clients with the following: Sit and Speaks, Run errands, Care Coordination, Light housework, Skilled Home repair

We are always looking for driven individuals that want to share yoga with our target population. Contribute to our cause by leveraging your strengths.

We are looking for individuals with experience in writing, radio, TV, photography, etc. Help promote important issues, events, write articles for website, adoptions sites, press releases, etc.

We need assistance with writing, preparation, graphics, production and coordination of our newsletter.
