Research: is responsible for the maintenance of the museum’s archives. The Research Curator collects and maintains files dealing with all aspects of Churchill County history. We rely on volunteers for many things, including but not limited to helping with special events, distributing posters/flyers, assisting in the office, acting as exhibit tour guides, and putting together exhibits.

We always need classroom volunteers to come sing and dance with our participants! There’s no requirement for musical “talent.” We need people who love people, who want to see everyone thrive around them, and are willing to help our participants in a variety of activities.

We have lots of events, some more complex than others, and we always need volunteers to set up, help with the fun, and clean up. At any given time, we’re recruiting for the next event.

The Facilities Attendant is ideally a handyman with general knowledge of facility management. Time to time LSSN needs basic repair services, which are very costly and could be avoided with the help of a committed volunteer.

The Janitor/Groundskeeper helps keep LSSN looking clean, professional, and ready to help serve our clients. General cleaning activities may include mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and general up-keep of the facility. Disposal of trash in offices, restrooms, kitchen, and outside areas is also expected.
