We can always use help wrenching. Experienced mechanics that have a well-rounded knowledge of bikes are a great help during open hours or during classes, and volunteering will teach you how to teach others. If you’re interested in becoming a wrench but don’t know much yet, we’ll teach you here!
At His Way we LOVE children and we are so excited about our Children’s ministry! We have incredible teachers in all areas of this ministry and would love to have a volunteer bank to draw from to assist the teachers. The areas available to serve in are Nursery, Preschool, His Stars for Girls and His…
Assist with hospitality. This includes preparing the refreshment area. You may be asked to “monitor” the beverages and to refill as needed. You may also be asked to make reminder calls to the women who are scheduled weekly to bring snacks. We also ask that you stay to help with the clean-up. Assist with the…

Youth groups, churches, business and service organizations, or individuals can host events and donate the proceeds to Austin’s House. Some examples of past events include: bake sales, car washes, ice cream socials, sidewalk business events, raffles, garage sales, fashion show, craft fairs, poker run, and children’s birthday parties.
Like any home, Austin’s House needs maintenance of our lawn, backyard, and house. If you or your organization would like to donate muscle power for maintenance services, please call and speak with us.
Help the Frontier Community Coalition promote and support healthy communities.
Volunteers lend helping hands during special events. You can help with the planning, help us set up or take down, lead an activity, greet guest or more! Besides being great fun, these events are critical for the community contact and fundraising capabilities of Urban Roots.
Stop by the Urban Teaching Farm at Renown (1700 East 2nd Street) Saturday mornings from 9-11 and help us with special projects or regular farm maintenance.
