We work to record the services provided and obtained at our Connect events to better inform our coordination of community service. The data-basing volunteer will be tasked with accurately transferring recorded services and event attendance into our local database.

Share your artistic talent with the children and families who visit The Discovery. The Art Alcove volunteer is expected to be able to create a welcoming environment that offers visitors an inspiring and safe experience.

Volunteers will help unleash the creative potential of visitors through the innovative tools and materials that are provided in The Shop.

Volunteers will create meaningful experiences with children and families by exploring the process of invention. They may even create something completely new with the tools and materials provided in this hands-on open classroom.

Organizations and groups are an essential part of The Discovery’s volunteer team. Group volunteer projects are a great way to make a big impact in a short amount of time at here at the museum. We offer both ongoing and one-time projects for highly engaged groups and their interests.

Support Volunteers don’t have to respond to emergencies, yet they are responsible for helping to make sure our stations and equipment are always ready. From training, public outreach and maintenance, Support Volunteers have many critical roles to fill. With minimal training, you can become an integral part of our organization.

Help provide emotional and spiritual support, life review, reading, and correspondence.

As a volunteer offering companionship you will help allow care givers/family members a break.

Volunteers assist with light house keeping, food preparation, errands, & grocery shopping.

The Solace Tree is also looking for volunteers who can help with development, special events, grant writing, advisory members, clerical help, board members, and help with fundraising.
