The SPCA of Northern Nevada has a wonderful network of foster care volunteers who open up their homes and hearts — for a few weeks or even a few months — to care for hundreds of puppies and kittens.

A Welcome Caller acquaints new wish families with the Make-A-Wish mission, impact and wish granting process. Welcome Callers facilitate 30-45 minute phone orientations with all legal guardians in a distraction-free environment.
Special Projects Volunteers participate in occasional activities fitting specific needs. Wish Designers work with a Wish Coordinator on staff to plan, create, and host Wish Reveals. Wish Designers may also assist staff with local Wishes such as shopping sprees, room makeovers, etc. You will be partnered with another Wish Designer for each Wish Reveal or Local Wish experience.
Taking a wish to the next level requires community involvement and resources. As a Wish Expert, you receive occasional emails from the Make-A-Wish staff indicating a specific request to make a Wish Child’s experience even more special.
