You provide free language interpreter services to customers who are not fluent in English. Basic tax knowledge is helpful, but it is not required for this position.
You complete and successfully certify in tax law training, including the use of electronic filing software, to provide free tax return preparation for eligible taxpayers.
You greet everyone visiting the site to create a pleasant atmosphere. You screen taxpayers to determine the type of assistance they need and confirm they have the necessary documents to complete their tax returns. Tax law certification is not required for this position.
For those interested in getting their hands in the dirt, volunteers assist with transplanting, harvesting, washing, & packing farm fresh produce. Volunteers go home with fresh produce as a thank you!
Resource Navigators assist Nevadans living in the “tyranny of the moment” who need the most basic services (housing, food, clothing, childcare, etc.). Navigators utilize our direct referral platform to connect clients with community-based organization and assist in finding optional resources. Virtual individual training is provided. Responds to calls from community residents who require TNR services. Provides general information on TNR. Obtains required information and forwards to the TNR Manager for inclusion on the trapping queue.
Selects projects, coordinates trapping effort with colony caretaker, transports trapped cats to clinic or staging facility. Post surgery returns cats to colony caretaker.
Cares for the cats pre/post surgery at the staging facility. Cleans traps, provides food and water, and sweeps and mops the floor.
