Our need is especially great during March/April and October/November when we run most of our Games. It’s a fun way to be involved!

We have volunteer opportunities for every skill level, ranging from getting out on the ground and pulling fence, picking up trash, naturalizing old roads, planting seedlings, monitoring wilderness, and yanking invasive plants.

Volunteer to represent Friends of Nevada Wilderness at outreach events in your community, or volunteer to help us around the office!

Want something a little more active? How about trash collection, maintaining and improving the trees and native plants, helping to increase the monarch population, repairing trails, documenting and preserving our Native American cultural sites, helping on community volunteer days and removing graffiti.

Hospitality volunteers assist with the staffing of numerous Museum events. Volunteer duties include set up and tear down, and greeting and directing guests. Event volunteers will be trained and delegated tasks.

Welcome visitors at the site, gallery sitting, and to help with events.

To work with community members experiencing crisis, our volunteers must complete Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). We offer a 69-hour training in the spring and fall to provide community members with tools needed to help those experiencing domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.

Join us as a trusted volunteer in one of our four program areas: Hunger Relief, Crisis Intervention & Prevention, Family Support & Community Engagement, and Mediation & Legal Assistance.
