Vitalant’s donation centers and blood drives have a refreshment area, also called a canteen. Volunteers manage the area, monitoring donor safety by making sure each donor stays for 15 minutes and enjoys a snack and drink to help replace lost fluids. Some of our locations use volunteer drivers to pick up and deliver blood products.

Virtual Volunteers are needed around the country for computer programming, web site development, help desk and special projects.

Environmental Volunteers are needed for monitor and battery recycling, training and community campaign development.

Administrative Volunteers are needed for the office work, telephone calls, training, special projects and fundraising.

Facilities Volunteers such as carpenters, painters, gardeners, maintenance and warehouse people are needed to expand and maintain our facilities and build facilities in various local communities.

Technical Volunteers are needed to repair, refurbish, upgrade, distribute computer systems.

Assist visitors with information about the museum and specific event details, facilitate craft activities with visitors, and provide superior customer service. Events typically occur on Saturdays once a month, 2 -3 hour shifts expected.

Greet visitors and help them find their way around the museum. Needed 4-5 hours Wednesday-Saturday.

CASA volunteers get to know the child and speak to everyone involved in the child’s life, including their family members, teachers, attorneys, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and others, who are knowledgeable about the child’s history and/or current situation.
