The Guest House is a typical home needing to be cared for on an ongoing basis. There are beds to be made, laundry to be done and cabinets to be straightened.
Volunteer at events like Nugget at Hot August Nights and Best in the West Rib Cook-Off.
Many of our guests rarely receive a home-cooked meal, and are very appreciative when a dinner is provided . You can schedule your family or group to provide a weekday meal. (We ask that you plan to feed 20 people)
The Guest House is managed by a volunteer board of directors and also has many committees populated by volunteers, e.g. finance, marketing, governance and special events. Serving on a committee is a great way to find out more about the organization and possibly serving on the board in the future.
We need volunteer experts to help us with special learning initiatives. We can not fill all the expertise we need within our small staff so we welcome experts in our community to share their knowledge with children and make the museum a strong learning experience.
Be a teen buddy for a special needs child, or help us make exhibits. This board does it all. This committee is open to high school students who want to gain service learning credits and leadership experience and complete comprehensive impactful service for the families in our community.
We need someone who loves to garden and create learning areas in our garden for children such as composting, a bee and butterfly flower bed and all sort of fun learning opportunities. We need someone (or two folks) all summer long and you can create your own schedule.
The Board of Directors of the KidZone Museum is also a committed group of volunteers. Representatives of this group are parents, attorneys, child development specialists and nonprofit professionals.
With so many little hands in the Museum, we always need help to disinfect. If you have time to spare in your day, we would love to have your help!
