Assist the Kitchen Staff with food preparation, serving of the Residential Lunch and helping in the dish area. All food prepared during this shift will help directly in feeding guests outside of our gates, as well as our recovery clients in our program working on their recovery and stronger living.

The Thrift Store cannot operate without the help of our recovery clients and volunteers, as we work to ensure the merchandise is sorted and ready for sale. This opportunity will have volunteers working in alongside our clients in-program working on their recovery and stronger living.

Assist the Kitchen Staff with packaging hot dinner for the community meal guests and then serving at the Residential / Shelter Guest Dinner service. All packaged dinners will be passed out by security to our guests outside of our gates. Volunteers will work alongside our clients in-program working on their recovery and stronger living.

Work one-on-one with children in need at a single GTSF shoe distribution event.

The front desk volunteers are the first point of contact for many visitors, callers, clients, and community members. Offer warm welcome and greetings to everyone. Connect people with programs and services or needed referrals. 3-hour per shift commitment.

Every second Wednesday of the month. Set Up – Help in setting up tables, chairs, bingo stage and prizes. Ticket Sales – Sell Bingo and Raffle Sheets to attendees. Clean Up – Help clean up tables, put away tables and chairs.

You can mentor in person, via zoom, phone… it all makes a difference when our clients have someone in their corner who they can turn to and count on. Life skills, parenting, financial literacy, reading literacy, GED prep, etc. Client needs are identified by case managers.

There are times we could also use help taking Christmas gifts to client homes, dropping, and picking up food or items from Senior living communities, diapers and formula to new mothers, etc.
