Court Support Volunteers work with victims of domestic violence at Family Court to provide support in the courtroom and debrief with them after proceedings. They assist victims as they navigate a complex legal system, as well as provide safety planning and community resources.
We need help all the time. Sometimes with staffing information booths and distributing information on domestic violence for SafeNest at community fairs and events. Check out what opportunities are coming up that you can volunteer for.
Childcare Volunteers are needed throughout the year. Opportunities include providing structured play activities, field trips, story time and arts and crafts.

We need engineers, conductors, stationmasters and greeters to help us run the trains during the summer. Also needed are volunteers to help us expand the current track. Currently, we need volunteers to help us preserve and restore a 1950’s pullman and a rotary snow plow.
Wanted — Docents for the Truckee Railroad Museum. It’s simple, it’s fun! No experience necessary. If you have as little as 3 hours a month, please volunteer to be a docent.
