Volunteers help with every aspect of planning and implementing a trip for the veterans from Reno to Washington D.C. and back.

Volunteers help to plan and implement events to raise money for the veterans trips. Administrative help is also needed.

Nevada Outreach provides the following programs to help individuals with problems in:  Elder Abuse; Domestic/Sexual Violence; Forensic Interviews for children who have been sexually/physically abused; Family Prevention activities in Parenting and Co-Parenting classes; Anger Management, Independent Skills classes and Budgeting classes; Healthlink to sign up for health insurance; and a family Resource Center. Service opportunities include: Delivering Food, Running Errands, Packing care packages, or Making welfare checks.

We have volunteer opportunities for every skill level, ranging from getting out on the ground and pulling fence, picking up trash, naturalizing old roads, planting seedlings, monitoring wilderness, and yanking invasive plants.

Volunteer to represent Friends of Nevada Wilderness at outreach events in your community, or volunteer to help us around the office!

Want something a little more active? How about trash collection, maintaining and improving the trees and native plants, helping to increase the monarch population, repairing trails, documenting and preserving our Native American cultural sites, helping on community volunteer days and removing graffiti.

Hospitality volunteers assist with the staffing of numerous Museum events. Volunteer duties include set up and tear down, and greeting and directing guests. Event volunteers will be trained and delegated tasks.
