Once a month NPHY hosts a baking contest. Volunteers will prepare snacks such as cookies, cupcakes, and other confections at the Drop-In Center. Volunteers will not only prepare the snacks, they will also decorate them. Come help organize and hang clothes from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on weekdays.
No prior construction experience is required to work on any day. We believe working onsite can even provide a valuable learning experience for those seeking basic building skills. All construction volunteers must be 16 years or older, and 18 years or older to work with power tools.
We occasionally need help in the office for tasks such as filing, phone answering, shredding, data entry, and mailings.
We always need help sorting, cleaning and pricing new donations. The store volunteers get to see the new stuff first. If you like treasure hunting, this might be for you.
Almost everything we do is done by committee. Our current committees include: Fund Development, Financial Committee, and Family Selection.
