We serve at the local resource center in downtown truckee; we walk the streets of Reno handing out care packages to those experiencing homelessness; and we participate in much more! Join us as a trusted volunteer in one of our four program areas: Hunger Relief, Crisis Intervention & Prevention, Family Support & Community Engagement, and Mediation & Legal Assistance.

To work with community members experiencing crisis, our volunteers must complete Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). We offer a 69-hour training in the spring and fall to provide community members with tools needed to help those experiencing domestic/intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.

We are actively looking for passionate youth and adults to help with our community mobilization efforts as it relates to violence prevention in the Truckee community.

Volunteers from beginners to Master Gardeners, from ages 10-100 with smiling faces are encouraged to come work with us for an hour or a day. Tasks range from harvesting vegetables for donations, pruning flowers, planting seeds, transplanting seedlings and site maintenance to helping to organize our fundraising events.

For a number of years, a group of about 25 Rotarians volunteer in the Magical Forest one evening early in December.
