Volunteer to represent Friends of Nevada Wilderness at outreach events in your community, or volunteer to help us around the office!

HCPF is always looking for friendly volunteers to assist with the general clean up and maintenance of Hillside Cemetery. Each Saturday (unless otherwise noted) HCPF opens the cemetery for various cleanup projects. Also, various community cleanup days will occur throughout the year and will be noted on the Events page as well.

The Adopt A Plot program through Hillside Cemetery Preservation Foundation allows volunteers to spend time in this wonderful cemetery, while cleaning and maintaining a specific plot. Help organize and work at special fund raising events; sell items, raise awareness, provide information to the public

Help to install and repair fencing on the range and at the new sanctuary.

Walk existing fence lines and report or fix breaks.

An opportunity to gain leadership skills and experience and familiarity in the following areas: communications (web, media, email and traditional correspondence), philanthropy, fundraising and donor relations.

Volunteers help with office management duties in our Truckee office. These duties might include assisting with donor mailers (stuffing and addressing envelopes), making phone calls to donors and potential donors, assisting with filing, and other tasks as they become relevant.

Work with one of several standing committees that steer educational programs, the Virginia Range Adoption Program, fund raising, etc.
