Desert Sage Auxiliary provides an opportunity for those who wish to give service to the community but have limited weekday hours to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities are available on Saturdays and meetings are held on the first Tuesday evening of each month.
Because of the sensitive nature of our work, most volunteer positions do involve significant training. We ask that volunteers who complete the training commit to 4-6 hours weekly or biweekly of volunteer time for a minimum of 6 months. Coordinate the annual cookie sale at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!
Mentor adult volunteers as they work with Girl Scouts to create memories they will never forget.
Help the girls explore nature and find the fun outdoors.
Assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, or other tasks necessary to keep the troop running oh-so-smoothly from week to week.
Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.
