Hospitality volunteers assist with the staffing of numerous Museum events. From regularly scheduled events such as First Thursday, Second Saturday and other Museum events, volunteer duties include checking in registered guests, coat check, set up and tear down, and greeting and directing guests.
Docents host guided tours and workshops about the exhibitions and collections. Tours are given daily to a large range of groups who vary in age and interest. Specialized training and a love of public speaking is required to become be in the docent program.
The Center for Art + Environment Research Library & Archives is staffed by volunteers with duties that include greeting and assisting guests and working on special projects.
