We operate Reno’s only Thrift Store whose proceeds support homeless pets in our community. Assist in the store by helping clients and keeping everything clean and organized.

Requirements: 16+ Shifts: As needed Volunteers are needed to teach children and adults about the responsibilities of caring for a pet. Topics covered are volunteerism, pet safety, pet overpopulation, adopting from a shelter and making a lifetime commitment to your pet.
Requirements: 16+; Experienced Cat Handler Shifts: 3 times a month Volunteers are needed to teach new volunteers all about cat handling here at NHS! A training will be required in order to teach these classes

Requirements: 18+; once a week commitment on same day/time every week Shifts: Monday-Friday During our vaccine clinics we need help processing clients, checking phone lines, returning phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
