Meet our Volunteer, Lola!
Meet our volunteer, Lola. She’s been volunteering with our Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) team for over 15 years, providing one-on-one counseling in Dayton. MAP is a state-based program that offers local one-on-one counseling and assistance to people with Medicare and their families.
“I love the face-to-face interactions,” said Lola. “It’s part of building a relationship with them first and then helping them with their prescription drug plan. I think building the relationship first certainly goes a long way rather than just handing them information.”
The volunteers help seniors and people with disabilities understand their Medicare benefits and prevent Medicare fraud and abuse.
