Ways to help | Help save the lives of animals! Become a foster with Pet NetworkBecome a foster volunteer with Pet Network Humane Society!Pet Network Humane Society works to save the lives of as many animals as possible. A crucial piece of this goal is our foster program. Foster volunteers temporarily house animals in their own homes and provide care to those animals. We are looking for individuals interested in fostering dogs, cats, kittens and puppies. Pet Network provides all necessary supplies and medical care while animals are in foster care.Animals can go into foster care for many reasonings, including: they are too young for adoption, they are nursing a litter, they are in recovery from an illness or surgery, they need a break from the shelter, or they have workable behavior needs.Volunteer at the Pet Network Thrift Store!Pet Network Humane Society operates the Pet Network Thrift Store in Incline Village. Members of the community can donate and shop for gently used clothing, furniture, décor, and more at the shop. With the exception of the Thrift Store Manager, the store is completely volunteer-operated. Following operational costs, proceeds and donations from the thrift store are reinvested in the care of the animals at Pet Network Humane Society.Volunteers help operate the Pet Network Thrift Store by running point of sale, interacting with customers, sorting donations, and more!Have fun and save animal lives! Support Pet Network EventsPet Network hosts several events throughout the year at our shelter and at various offsite locations. Events range from adoption and community events to fundraising events. It takes a dedicated team of people to pull off a successful event, and your help is greatly appreciated. Skills needed for these events are customer service, marketing, planning, designing and media relations just to name a few. Duties depend on what type of event we are hosting.Save animal lives and help move cats and dogs to our shelter! We need your help to maximize animal lives saved. Become a volunteer transport driver for Pet Network! Pet Network Humane Society helps reduce shelter crowding by transferring animals from other shelters to our facility, primarily from other shelters and rescues in Nevada. Volunteer Transport Drovers assist with our mission by helping move animals from other facilities to ours. Transport volunteers drive a Pet Network vehicle to pick up and move animals back to our facility. This role can also include moving animals to and from off-site adoption sites or other events! Time commitment varies on our partners and where we are moving animals from. |

About us | Pet Network Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through rescue, adoption and humane education programs. Pet Network Humane Society envisions a world in which all companion animals experience love and respect as treasured members of families and communities. Our organization values animal protection, compassion, community collaboration, servant leadership, humane practices education, sustainability, and innovation. Pet Network was founded in 1991 by a group of volunteers who brought cats and dogs from the Tahoe Vista Shelter into their homes and cleaned, groomed, and fed them until they were restored to health and ready for adoption. In 2000 our first brick and mortar shelter was built. We have grown from a small grassroots project, operating out of homes, to a private non-profit 501(c) (3) organization located in our 15,300 square foot facility. The Pet Network Humane Society is a community center offering programs designed to promote compassion and respect for pets and their families. We are committed to providing exemplary service to our community and encouraging the creation and growth of programs, services, and partnerships. We are proud of the services we provide to Incline Village and the surrounding area as we diligently work to improve the lives of pets in our community. |
