Mental health issues are on the rise across the United States. In Las Vegas, we have higher rates of addiction and have growing barriers with access to care. Join VISTA and work to address mental health, including substance use disorder. Joining together like minded individuals to bring about system and environmental change is crucial to addressing local needs. The VISTA will serve the Las Vegas population in need of behavioral health and substance abuse prevention services. Engaging the community to address issues of poverty through the development of sustainable mental health and addiction programming that acknowledges the health literacy of the community. Activity types

The Mental Health and Supportive Services VISTA will focus on developing community outreach programming related to opioid addiction and harm reduction. Play a major role in collaborating with PACT partner agencies to create effective systems to enhance patient engagement and partner with community organizations to recruit volunteer providers to serve Las Vegas residents in need of supportive services. The VISTA will also work with community partners to research, identify and develop sustainable programs where both substance misuse and mental health are treated simultaneously.

Our missionThe PACT Coalition seeks to empower Southern Nevada with the resources to prevent substance misuse for all ages and promote recovery through culturally competent advocacy, education, stigma reduction, support, and outreach.
