About us | Catmandu is a cage free home-between-homes for hundreds of cats and kittens each year. The cats mingle in large rooms or lounge on the fenced catios. Some are hoping for new homes, others happily call Catmandu home. Surprisingly, everybody pretty much gets along and there are few cat fights. Kittens are housed separately, in large enclosures, to protect their immature immune systems. Kittens between 4 and 8 weeks old stay in the nursery or in a foster home. We tend to take a more natural and holistic approach whenever possible, but also use veterinarians as needed. We receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund the work that we do. |
