As a volunteer you can help build raised brick garden beds, spread mulch, soil, and gravel, plant trees, connect irrigation lines, and more! Garden builds are open to all ages and are great for individuals and large groups!
Work directly with the horses and kids! We rely on volunteers to help our staff with the set-up, facilitation, and cleanup for group classes. Horse experience is helpful, but is not required. Training is provided (fee to cover the cost of background check and course materials).
Assist in the office, set up for an event, post fliers, or …? We can use an extra hand behind the scenes.

Volunteer opportunities include tradesmen, data entry, sales, logistic assistants, acquisitions and interior designers to help teach life skills to SNTR residents.
We’re always looking for people eager to positively impact a child and improve the community at the same time. You might think you don’t have what it takes to be a mentor or role model, but what our Littles need is just time to have fun with a friend – time to be a kid.
Volunteers bring history to life at the Center’s outdoor wagon encampment while wearing pioneer clothing. The opportunities are endless, from Dutch oven cooking to performing pioneer tunes on a fiddle. Demonstrations may also take place in the Trail Center lobby. Examples include, but are not limited to: spinning, weaving, quilting, doll making and gunsmithing.
