Volunteer Help

Volunteers are the Backbone of Henderson equality Center
Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who make Henderson Equality Center possible! The Henderson Equality Center Staff values the dedicated volunteers who work hard to help produce activities and events at the Center. We rely on people like you to make this operation possible.  If you are interested in volunteering, please look over the different types of volunteers we are seeking, and then click on Volunteer Application and complete the form below and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you soon.
Front Desk Reception:
  • Provide clients with resources, answer incoming calls, and greet walk-in clients and visitors to our CyberCenter & Social Groups.
Outreach and Civic Engagement:
  • Representing Henderson Equality Center on college campuses, health fairs, community events, and more. For those who are outgoing, like engaging with the public, and are able to travel throughout Clark County.
Special Events:
  • Assist with staffing fundraisers (Bingo) and other special events.
Food Pantry:
  • Help stuff food bags for clients that arrive weekly for food pantry assistance.
Group and Corporate Volunteering:
  • Have a large group, or want to get your company involved? We can find plenty of ways for your group to get involved.

Front Desk Reception

The front desk volunteers are the first point of contact for many visitors, callers, clients, and community members. Offer warm welcome and greetings to everyone. Connect people with programs and services or needed referrals. 3-hour per shift commitment.

Pantry Help

The pantry is the home for helping our community with a much needed resource. Organize new stock delivers. Put together pre-packed food bags with various food items. 2-hour per shift commitment, that can happen anytime between the hours of 12pm and 6pm each Thursday.

Henderson Equality Centers Monthly Bingo Fundraiser

Every second Wednesday of the month. Set Up - Help in setting up tables, chairs, bingo stage and prizes. Ticket Sales - Sell Bingo and Raffle Sheets to attendees. Clean Up - Help clean up tables, put away tables and chairs.
