Volunteers help us inspire thousands of visitors each year at the LVNHM.
From leading tours as docents to assisting museum professionals with efforts behind-the-scenes, we invite you to join our volunteer team!
Great opportunity to learn new skills and gain experiences. The perfect way for students to earn community service hours for school. We offer a Junior Volunteer/Family Volunteer Program that welcomes duo teams of children (12 years to 15 years) to co-volunteer with a parent/guardian for the Museum. This provides a wonderful team-building experience between junior and their adult; while also teaching the values of responsibility, accountability and professionalism to the Junior Volunteer.
We have areas that always need someone with enthusiasm for teaching, great communication skills, shiny personality, team worker, and more.
Becoming a volunteer for the Museum gives you the opportunity to shadow train in our Paleontology lab, Husbandry department, Natural History Collections, Education department, and so much more.
