“The human contribution is the essential ingredient. It is only in the giving of oneself to others that we truly live.”-Ethel Percy Andrus

Welcome to our On-line Resource Center for Volunteering!

Congratulations! You just took the first step in making a difference in your community. One of the many great things about volunteering is that you are limited only by your own creativity. One time, on-going, and periodic volunteer opportunities are available. Some agencies also have opportunities for you to work from home. Plus, you can volunteer as an individual and even as a group or family.

It is our goal to provide resources and information to promote and strengthen volunteerism throughout Nevada. Whether you are an experienced volunteer or this is your first time, we hope that you find these resources useful in your volunteer experience.

The following resources have been categorized into specific areas:
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. Benefits of Volunteering
  2. Virtual Volunteering
  3. Skills-Based/Pro Bono Volunteering
  4. Advice/Personal Experiences

You will find a wide range of information—here is a good one to get you started:
