Applicants proposing a multi-state AmeriCorps program are required by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act to first consult with the State Service Commissions in states where they intend to operate an AmeriCorps program.
As a State Service Commission, Nevada Volunteers believes that the consultation process fosters meaningful partnerships that promote national service as an effective strategy to address unmet needs in Nevada. Goals include:
- An understanding the breadth and scope of national service programs operating in Nevada
- Connecting national programs to geographic areas of the state with little or no national service presence
- Effective use of limited resources for collaboration and other activities that will lead to increased public awareness of AmeriCorps national service in Nevada
To begin the process, please complete the online National Direct Consultation Form – NV and submit it to Nevada Volunteers. If we have requests for additional information or follow up a staff person will contact your organization directly after submission of the form.
Please contact Nevada Volunteers at 775-825-1900.
